Today’s interview is with one of my favorite OH-IO gals. We are in the same business – and since I’m a firm believer in “there’s plenty of work for everyone,” I don’t view her as a competitor, but as a friend. She is a serious rockstar with tons of moxitious-ness, and she is someone you clearly need to know.

I am a geek goddess + virtual assistant who provides the latest “scoop” on social media. Momma to a beautiful 10 yo Cheerleader. She is my world. I am a dog lover, bath taker, wanna-be runner, and a random person. Add Mac hoe to that list too. I consider myself an Entrepreneurial-Geek, but I am also a vibrant and determined Virtual Assistant.
When I am not providing savvy entrepreneurs with technical and marketing support, I also help entrepreneurs enhance their inner geek goddess with online training programs. I love what I do and everyday is a clean slate for learning more new things. I love to learn which is why I make a great VA. I strive to excel at anything I do or try.

In 10 words or less describe your business:
I help my clients become Rockstars in their business!
What was the catalyst that pushed you towards running your own biz?
I think I always knew that I would have some type of business. My tipping point happened after several failed attempts at finding a position in my area that I could really continue to grow and excel at. My final point was another male boss making me feel like just another secretary to them. I knew I wanted to do so much more with my skills but I had no idea what the possibilities were! I took the leap of faith at the young age of 25 and it was the best decision I have ever made!
If you could work with anyone alive or dead, who would it be?
Sarah Evans ( http://prsarahevans.com) of Sevans Strategy (http://sevansstrategy.com/) – Sarah has made a name for herself in the mostly male driven – social media and tech world! She is an uber hot geek who know continues to make a name for herself by being herself and rocking it online!
Do you think working from home is ideal for everyone?
Absolutely not! Working from home is a challenge and take dedication and focus! You can easily be drawn into the distractions of the home! I also think the opposite can happen (and I may have this problem), I love what I do and it is really hard to pull away from my work when there is nothing else going on! I love it and sometimes cannot get enough!
How do you keep yourself on track?
The VA has a VA!
A Virtual Assistant is essential in keeping you on track and helping you get your tasks done! Having my own VA is just important to my business as the rest of my team members that keep it going!
What is the one thing you’ve never done that you are dying to do?
To jump out of a plane!
What is your favorite biz-related book?
The Zen of Social Media Marketing – Simple yet Brilliant. Anyone who wants to generate buzz and create an online presence using social media should check it out!!
What is the most Moxitious (that’s moxie + ambition) thing you’ve ever done?
Entering the Rich, Happy, & Hot LIVE Contest! Putting myself out there on video was the first time I had stepped out of my comfort zone like that. I was able to show who I was on video and really put it out there for people to see. It truly was the first step in taking my business and presence to a whole knew place! And like McDonald’s says… “I’m Loving It!”

Alicia, I somehow missed this one!
I just want to say that my daughter (8) is trying to figure out how she is going to fit into this world, she does not like princesses and her idea of fun on a Sat morning is teaching herself double digit multiplication (that is not from me). When I saw geek goddess I just thought, that’s my girl!!!!
Love what you are doing and for the inspiration.
